A classic Midwestern comfort dish with seasoned beef, creamy soup, cheddar cheese, and crispy tater tots. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix in cream of mushroom soup and milk until combined.
  5. Spread the beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
  7. Arrange tater tots in a single layer on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until tots are golden and crispy.

Notes

  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey if preferred.
  • Add frozen green beans or corn for extra veggies.
  • Freeze leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
