Ingredients
Scale
1 large English cucumber
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
Wash and dry the cucumber thoroughly. Slice the cucumber into rounds about 1/4 inch thick. You should get about 20 to 24 slices.
In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped fresh dill, lemon zest, and black pepper. Mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. This is your herb-infused cream cheese base.
Place the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip, or use a small spoon for a rustic dollop.
Pipe or spoon a small amount of the herb cream cheese onto each cucumber slice.
Cut the smoked salmon slices into small, manageable pieces that fit nicely on top of the cream cheese.
Place one piece of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese on each cucumber bite.
Garnish each bite with a tiny sprig of fresh dill.
Arrange the keto appetizer recipes attractively on a serving platter. Chill for 15 minutes before serving for the best texture.
Notes
For a prettier presentation, use a melon baller to scoop out a small indentation in the cucumber slice before adding the filling.
If you do not have a piping bag, you can use two small spoons to shape the cream cheese dollop.
These smoked salmon snacks are perfect for a Mother’s Day appetizer spread.
