Tender shredded beef cooked in a rich au jus, perfect for an easy crowd-pleasing meal or game day.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add onion, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and black pepper.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until beef shreds easily.
  4. Shred the beef and return it to the slow cooker.
  5. Toast hoagie rolls and top with shredded beef and provolone cheese.
  6. Serve with au jus for dipping.
