A classic beef stroganoff with tender beef, mushrooms, and a tangy sour cream sauce served over egg noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and mushrooms until softened.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir until thickened.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream.
  8. Return beef to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Use sirloin or tenderloin for best results.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream if needed.
  • Add a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
