Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, and yeast in a bowl. Add warm water and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
  2. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  5. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, then add mozzarella slices.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden.
  7. Top with fresh basil before serving.
