A hearty and budget-friendly casserole with seasoned ground beef, layered potatoes, and plenty of cheese. Perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef with onions in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Layer half the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Top with half the beef mixture and half the cheese.
  5. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
