A quick skillet steak with a rich garlic butter and parmesan cream sauce, perfect for date night.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  4. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Baste the steaks with the melted butter for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove the steaks and let them rest.
  6. In the same skillet, add heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens.
  7. Pour the sauce over the steaks and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for accurate doneness: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.
  • Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
