Make this foolproof chocolate fondue in your slow cooker for a rich, velvety dip perfect for parties or a romantic dessert night. This recipe is simple and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup (for extra shine)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Place both types of chocolate chips into a small Crockpot or slow cooker.
  2. Pour the heavy cream and corn syrup over the chocolate chips.
  3. Set the slow cooker to LOW. Do not stir immediately. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to begin melting.
  4. After 10 minutes, gently stir the mixture until it is completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and the pinch of salt.
  6. Keep the fondue on the WARM setting for serving. Stir occasionally.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dippers.

Notes

  • For a Melting Pot copycat flavor, add 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter along with the cream.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor; Ghirardelli or Lindt work well.
  • If the fondue becomes too thick while serving, stir in a teaspoon of warm milk or cream until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Prepare your dippers ahead of time and arrange them on a dessert board for a fun presentation.
