Ingredients
Scale
2 bottles (750 ml each) chilled Champagne or dry sparkling wine
1 cup strawberry puree (from fresh or frozen strawberries)
1 cup chilled white grape juice or pineapple juice
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 cup fresh raspberries or cranberries for garnish
Optional: 1 cup vodka for an alcoholic option
Instructions
Prepare the strawberry puree by blending fresh or thawed frozen strawberries until smooth. Strain if you prefer a seedless texture.
In a large punch bowl, combine the strawberry puree, white grape juice (or pineapple juice), orange juice, and optional vodka. Stir these ingredients well.
Chill the base mixture in the refrigerator for at least one hour if making ahead. This helps keep the punch cold when you add the sparkling wine.
Just before serving, gently pour in the chilled Champagne and the lemon-lime soda. Stir very slowly to keep the bubbles in the effervescent cocktail.
Add the sliced fresh strawberries and raspberries or cranberries to the punch bowl for garnish.
Serve immediately in glasses filled with ice. This is a fantastic New Year’s Eve punch or Christmas punch recipe.
Notes
For a make ahead party punch, mix all non-sparkling ingredients (juices and puree) up to 24 hours in advance. Keep refrigerated. Add the Champagne and soda just before guests arrive.
To keep the punch cold without diluting the flavor, freeze some of the fruit (like grapes or berries) to use as ice cubes.
If you want a pink champagne punch, use a slightly sweeter sparkling wine or add a splash of grenadine.
