A hearty, cheesy casserole with layers of potatoes, ground beef, and creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for a weeknight family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Layer half the potatoes in the crockpot, followed by half the beef, half the onion, and half the soup mixture.
  3. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top and let it melt before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef.
  • Try using frozen hash browns for quicker prep.
