Easy, saucy shredded chicken for sandwiches or bowls with minimal prep.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the crockpot.
  2. Mix BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Pour sauce over chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  5. Shred chicken with forks and mix with sauce.
  6. Serve on buns or in bowls.

  • Use a meat thermometer to check for 165°F doneness.
