A simple slow cooker apple butter recipe that turns apples, sugar, and spices into a smooth, caramelized spread with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  2. Cook on low for 8-10 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Blend until smooth with an immersion blender or food processor.
  4. Cook uncovered for another 1-2 hours to thicken.
  5. Let cool before storing in jars.
