Make this rich, savory Creamy Parmesan Garlic Beef Bowtie Pasta for a satisfying family dinner. This easy stovetop recipe comes together fast and features tender ground beef coated in a luscious garlic Parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 8 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Set the pasta aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the minced garlic and diced onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the onion softens.
  4. Pour in the beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.
  5. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream. Let the sauce warm through, but do not let it boil rapidly.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to your liking.
  7. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet with the sauce and beef. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash or two of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  8. Serve immediately. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or extra Parmesan cheese if desired. This is a hearty weeknight dinner!

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, toast the garlic lightly before adding the broth.
  • Use high-quality, freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best creamy sauce texture.
  • If you like a little heat, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes when you sauté the garlic.
  • This dish is great for meal prep; store leftovers in an airtight container. Find more quick recipes like this on our Pinterest account!
