A cozy holiday dessert with tart cranberries, sweet apples, and a crunchy oat topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Spread in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle streusel over the fruit mixture.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm with ice cream.

  • Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate up to 1 day before baking.
  • Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for balance.
  • Double the streusel for extra crunch.
