Make this irresistible Cookies and Cream Puppy Chow, a fun twist on classic Muddy Buddies. This easy, no-bake treat combines crunchy cereal, white chocolate, and crushed Oreos for the ultimate sweet snack mix perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup extra powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Place the Rice Chex cereal in a very large bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth.
  3. Stir the peanut butter and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal in the large bowl. Gently fold the cereal until it is evenly coated.
  5. In a large zip-top bag, combine the 1 1/2 cups of crushed Oreos and the 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix well.
  6. Add the coated cereal to the bag. Seal the bag, leaving some air inside, and shake until the cereal pieces are completely covered in the cookie and sugar coating.
  7. Spread the coated cereal onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and set.
  8. Once cooled, transfer the puppy chow to a serving bowl. Dust lightly with the extra 1/4 cup of powdered sugar if desired before serving your addictive snack mix.

Notes

  • For the best coating, crush your Oreo cookies finely. You can use a food processor or place them in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  • If you want an even richer flavor, use semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of milk chocolate chips in the coating.
  • This recipe makes a large batch, perfect for sharing at gatherings or holiday events.
