A baked chicken breast stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese, coated in crispy breadcrumbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Layer ham and Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.
  4. Roll up tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Place in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use toothpicks to secure rolls before baking.
  • For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
  • Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Freeze unbaked rolls for up to 3 months.
