Combine the gooey goodness of cinnamon rolls with the comforting flavor of apple pie in this easy bake. This recipe uses pre-made dough for a quick, impressive fusion dessert perfect for holidays or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (13.2 ounce) package refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Open the package of cinnamon rolls. Do not remove the icing packets. Cut each cinnamon roll into four equal pieces.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the apple pie filling, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon until combined.
  4. Spread the apple pie mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Scatter the cut cinnamon roll pieces over the apple filling in the dish. Try to distribute them evenly.
  6. Pour the 1/4 cup of water over the top of the rolls and filling.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove the dish from the oven. Immediately open the icing packets that came with the rolls. Drizzle the icing evenly over the hot bake.
  9. Let the bake cool slightly before serving. This is a great sweet breakfast bake or dessert.

Notes

  • For an extra rich icing, you can mix the included icing packets with 2 tablespoons of melted butter before drizzling.
