- 8 oz linguine
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cook linguine according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic, Dijon, lemon juice, and chili flakes. Stir to combine.
- Add cooked linguine and pasta water to the skillet. Toss to coat.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Stir in parsley and Parmesan.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Swap chicken for shrimp or add broccoli or spinach.
- Use the reserved pasta water to emulsify the sauce.
