A quick and flavorful hibachi-style chicken fried rice with garlic butter, eggs, and peas, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups day-old cooked rice
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in beaten eggs and scramble until just set.
  4. Add chicken, peas, and rice, stirring to combine.
  5. Mix in butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until everything is heated through.
  7. Serve hot with a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for the best texture.
  • Adjust soy sauce to taste if you prefer a saltier dish.
