Ingredients
Scale
1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
1 cup mix-ins (chocolate chips, M&Ms, nuts, etc.)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
In a large bowl, combine the dry cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in your chosen mix-ins, like chocolate chips or peanut butter chips.
Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
Let the bars cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang.
Cut into squares. These bars are great for meal planning ahead of time.
Notes
For a richer flavor, substitute the oil with melted butter.
