A budget-friendly, hearty casserole with cabbage and ground beef, perfect for weeknights and leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in cabbage, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Freeze leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 months.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
