- 1 loaf day-old bread, cubed
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Grease the crock pot with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix bread cubes, melted butter, onion, celery, garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in broth and beaten eggs until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the crock pot and press down lightly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
- For crispy edges, uncover and cook for the last 30 minutes.
