Make these easy baked Buffalo Chicken Sliders on Hawaiian rolls for your next gathering. They feature juicy shredded chicken tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, topped with melted cheddar cheese, and finished with a savory garlic butter topping. These pull apart sliders are perfect for game day food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 cup Buffalo sauce (use your favorite brand)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken and Buffalo sauce. Mix until the chicken is fully coated.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in one piece, keeping the tops and bottoms together. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the Buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken layer.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, dried minced onion, and dried parsley to create the garlic butter topping.
  7. Brush the entire top surface of the slider buns generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are golden brown.
  10. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the rolls. Serve warm as a crowd pleasing food.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, mix 1/4 cup of ranch dressing into the chicken mixture along with the Buffalo sauce.
  • If you prefer a less spicy flavor, reduce the amount of Buffalo sauce or add a tablespoon of melted butter to the sauce mixture.
  • These sliders are excellent served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
