Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

A quick and flavorful stir-fry with tender beef, crisp broccoli, and a glossy garlic-ginger sauce. Ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Mix beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Add beef and cook until browned. Remove from pan.
  3. Add broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  4. Add garlic, ginger, water, and brown sugar. Stir until sauce thickens.
  5. Return beef to the skillet. Toss with sesame oil.
  6. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

  • For extra tender beef, use cornstarch slurry.
  • Swap soy sauce with tamari for gluten-free.
  • Add red pepper flakes for heat.
