A fun hybrid treat made with a waffle iron, combining the flavors of apple fritters and donuts, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup finely chopped apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in chopped apples.
  5. Pour batter onto the waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
  6. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over warm waffle donuts.
