Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups sliced tart apples (like Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss apples with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Spread in a baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle streusel over apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Use firm apples for best texture.
  • Make ahead and reheat before serving.
  • Try adding nuts to the streusel for extra crunch.
