  • 1 lb flank or skirt steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  2. Add sliced steak to the marinade and toss to coat. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill over high heat. Cook steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  5. Assemble tacos with steak, red onion, cilantro, avocado, and queso fresco.
  6. Serve with lime wedges.
