Make your favorite coffee shop banana bread at home with this easy recipe. Moist, nutty, and perfectly sweet, just like the original.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in walnuts.
  5. Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • Freeze slices for quick snacks later.
  • Reduce sugar by 1/4 cup for a less sweet version.
