  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of frozen hash browns (about 30 ounces, thawed)
  • Optional: 1 cup of diced bell peppers
  • Optional: 1 cup of chopped spinach or kale
  • Optional: 1/2 cup of diced onions
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like chives or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Combine the cooked sausage, thawed hash browns, and cream cheese mixture in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread evenly, and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
