Classic Green Bean Casserole

A creamy and crunchy Thanksgiving side dish that pleases any crowd.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups cooked green beans
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Stir in green beans and 2/3 cup of fried onions.
  4. Pour into a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Top with remaining onions and bake for 5 more minutes.

  • Make ahead: Assemble the casserole and refrigerate up to 1 day before baking.
  • Add 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese for a cheesy version.
