- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Red and blue food coloring
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Star-shaped sprinkles
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
- Divide batter into three bowls. Color one red, one blue, and leave one white.
- Layer the colored batter in the cupcake liners.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool.
- Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.
