A large-batch, make-ahead pitcher cocktail perfect for fall parties and Thanksgiving, combining wine, apple cider, seasonal fruits, and a touch of spirit.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750ml) red or white wine
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brandy or bourbon
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 pear, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine wine, apple cider, and brandy or bourbon.
  2. Add sliced apple, pear, orange, and cinnamon stick.
  3. Stir in maple syrup if using for extra sweetness.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to let flavors meld.
  5. Serve chilled over ice, garnished with extra fruit slices.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use white wine and omit maple syrup.
