A quick and flavorful stir-fry with tender beef strips, colorful bell peppers, and a savory soy-garlic sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners and ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Add the beef and marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic, onions, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, add beef broth, and stir well. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, marinate the beef for up to 30 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
