A simple and delicious lasagna recipe using cottage cheese for a high-protein, budget-friendly twist on the classic dish.

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. oven to oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat.
  4. Mix cottage cheese, egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Layer noodles, beef, cottage cheese mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
  6. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella on top.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
