A hearty, one-pot chili recipe perfect for busy weeknights or game day gatherings. Works in a slow cooker, Instant Pot, or on the stove.

  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  3. Stir in beans, tomatoes, spices, and broth.
  4. Simmer for 20-30 minutes (or cook in slow cooker for 4-6 hours).
  5. Adjust seasoning and serve with cornbread.
