Easy Apple Crumble

A comforting, old-fashioned dessert ready in under an hour. Perfect for weeknight or holiday meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled and sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon. Spread in a baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, oats (if using), brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle topping over apples.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
  • Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  • For a small batch, halve the ingredients.
