- 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, drained
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add tuna to the pan and break it up with a fork. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the pan to coat to coat.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use any pasta shape you prefer.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- Add red pepper flakes for some heat.
