A quick and delicious pasta dish using canned tuna, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, drained
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add tuna to the pan and break it up with a fork. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and stir well. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the pan to coat to coat.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Add red pepper flakes for some heat.
