- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup sourdough discard
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, sourdough discard, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold chips.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best sweetness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
