  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Brown butter in a saucepan, then let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  7. Fold in diced apples and caramel bits.
  8. Drop dough by tablespoons onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
