Ingredients

  • 2 large oranges
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sanding sugar (optional)
  • 4 oz dark chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice oranges into 1/4-inch rounds, removing seeds.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add orange slices, simmer for 45 minutes, flipping occasionally.
  4. Remove slices and let dry on a wire rack for 4-6 hours.
  5. Optional: Dip in melted chocolate or roll in sanding sugar.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for even slices.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
  • Perfect for cake toppers or holiday gifts.
