A flavorful marinade designed to enhance the taste of tuna steaks before grilling or searing.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, honey, ginger, garlic, lime juice, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  2. Place tuna steaks in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the tuna, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  5. Remove tuna from marinade and discard excess marinade.
  6. Grill or sear tuna steaks to your preferred doneness.

Notes

  • Doinate forinate for more than 2 hours to avoid over-tenderizing the fish.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Use fresh lime juice for the best taste.
